Visual Collaboration Walls

Visual Collaboration Wall

Use this visually captivating methodology to draw people in at your next large-group event.

Client: We’ve used Visual Collaboration walls with several Fortune 100 clients at their annual team summits and company-wide conferences.

The challenge: A variety of Drawbridge Innovations clients host large meetings, with a goal to bring their employees together — for learning, conversation, and ideation for the future. With around 50 to 200 participants in attendance, their requests included:

  • What are the different creative ways for us to engage large audiences?

  • How can we create space to hear and share all voices?

  • How can we make our meeting more fun, and add some “wow!”?

  • We want to gather insights from participants around a specific key question important to the company’s future. For example:

    • What inspires you about our Future?

    • What are your ideas for a “Better World”?

Our approach:

  • Distilling the objective: We work with our clients to converge on the specific objective of their collaboration wall. We’ve used it to capture insights about vision — but it can also be used for:

    • Fueling appreciation and gratitude by giving peer “shout outs”

    • Harvesting daily learning from a multi-day event

    • Eliciting employee views on organizational strengths and areas of improvement

Visual Collaboration Wall Set Up
  • Design and activation: We build the “Collaboration Wall '' on site, visually customizing it to match the event brand. Our typical walls are seven feet high and several feet in length - giving people enough space to work on them. Participants interact with these walls by:

    • Directly writing and drawing on them, or

    • Sharing ideas with the Drawbridge team on post its - and then, we bring the themes to life

Final deliverable: Collaboration Walls are fun and effective, because they add to the meeting experience. When you add a collaboration wall to your event, you’ll see:

    • Participants sharing their unique perspectives

    • Cross-pollination, as people reading ideas and insights from others

    • Patterns getting surfaced and highlighted

In additional the the real-time benefit, after the event:

  • You can display the wall in your lobby for all to see

  • We digitize the output, so you can use it to as an artifact for communication

Like this approach, but have a large virtual meeting coming up? Yes - we can create Collaboration Walls in cyberspace. Ask us how!
