Design a Better Solution
Why your team needs to try design thinking to solve your next challenge.
Design Thinking is a creative problem–solving methodology that can be applied to product, process, or service design challenges. It’s a set of skillsets and mindsets.
The two core principles of Design Thinking:
Stay rooted in Empathy. Always put the “customer” at the center of your design.
Iterate quickly. Test your ideas, get feedback, learn and repeat.
Putting it in action:
Product innovators have used this methodology for a long time - but what really gets me fired up is the application of Design Thinking to internal and external organizational processes and experiences. For example, hairy challenges such as:
“How can we create a better experience for our customers as they check in to our hospitals?”
“How might we redesign the new employee onboarding for our employees?”
“We need to create a new Leadership Development Program for our organization.”
In our work with clients, these are some of the tangible benefits we’ve seen from adopting design thinking, instead of a traditional project approach.
